There is no denying that cancer is the leading cause of death worlwide , it is a terrible horrible disease that has touched us all in one manner or another. That being said We can fight it and We Will Win. I lost my father my wife and many of my friends to cancer and everyone reading this blog is likely to add their story to the horrors of cancer.
Jack Layton's last words were do not give up take every moment of life and cherish it.
We have made advances with cancer and their are better treatments available and by being positive and supportive to those whom we love we can win the battle , either as friends, family or caregivers.
There are miracles and many people who have won the battle against cancer. The stories are not all bad and we should look towards the victories and fight it to the end.
my oncologist wanted to send me for radiation and I ended up going to Florida instead.
The elements were an abundance of prayer , yarrow tea, and a biopsy which turned negative.
I have six people in my close circle of friends who are living with cancer, it is either gone or in remission or they will eventually succomb to it. I do not have the answers , all I know everyone is alive and just that alone is "VICTORY! "

For caregivers it is very difficult at times and I am certain Olivia Chow could express much about how difficult it was for her and she most likely can express how it is important in terms of unconditional love to be at ones side
